Ronin is not available in any chests this season, so chest luck won't get you there. There are three ways to add him to your Collection right now, and one clear best option if you want him fast and free.

Every Way to Unlock Ronin

The Road to Ronin Event

The Road to Ronin is a dedicated, 7-milestone reward track built entirely around unlocking him. The first 6 milestones hand out Snippets just for playing the game, no separate currency or special battles required. The 7th and final milestone unlocks Ronin himself into your Collection.

It is live now and ends August 2, 2026. Once it closes, this specific free unlock path goes with it, though Ronin remains available through the Upgraded Pass Royale track afterward.

Ronin is also available as one of the rewards on this season's Upgraded Pass Royale. If you are already buying the pass, check the track for him before spending elsewhere.

Wandering Warrior: A Slower Path to the Same Unlock

The Wandering Warrior is Season 85's story album, told through nine Scenes and paid for with Snippets. Since Ronin is not in any chests this season, the Ronin Cards it hands out along the way, starting with the Laughter Scene, unlock him into your Collection the same way finding any new card normally would. It just takes longer to get there than the Road to Ronin or Pass Royale, since you have to progress through earlier Scenes first.
