How the Chest Simulator Works
Every mystery chest starts as a Common chest. You get 5 taps total. The first 4 each carry a chance to upgrade the chest to the next rarity tier, and your 5th tap cracks it open to reveal what is inside. The higher the rarity you reach before that final tap, the better your potential rewards: more gold, rarer cards, and a shot at Evolution Shards or a full Evolution.

Each tap has a chance to bump your chest up one rarity tier: Common to Rare to Epic to Legendary to Champion.
Your final tap cracks the chest open at whatever rarity it has reached, revealing your reward.
