Chaos Signal Lost

Clash Royale Chaos Signal Lost, Explained

By the RoyaleTracker Team@RoyaleTrackerGGUpdated July 27, 2026

If you opened C.H.A.O.S. Mode and saw Signal Lost instead of the usual modifier screen, nothing is broken. Signal Lost is a temporary state of Chaos Mode where every modifier has been stripped out, leaving a restricted card pool at Level 11 and a match that plays like normal 1v1. It arrived for everyone at once with a short countdown attached. Here is exactly what changed, what it means for your deck, and when Chaos is expected back to normal.

This is a live, temporary state

Ends in--:--:--

Signal Lost ends on July 27, 2026, and the counter above is live. It does not run to the August 3 season rollover. Supercell has not published patch notes for it, so treat the timer in your own client as the authority. This page rewrites itself the moment the counter hits zero, and we will refresh the deck data when Chaos returns to its normal state.

What Is Chaos Signal Lost?

C.H.A.O.S. Mode normally hands both players a stack of modifiers that rewrite how individual cards behave, so a Furnace might spawn every Spirit in the game or a Tombstone might raise the Skeleton King. Signal Lost removes that entire layer. What is left is the skeleton of the mode: the same restricted card pool, the same Level 11 cap, and none of the chaos.

The important detail people keep missing is that this is not a return to normal ladder. You are still locked to the Chaos Phase 3 card pool, so a deck you copied from a ladder meta list will very likely be illegal here. Check our Chaos Mode deck data to see which cards actually show up in the mode.

ModifiersAll removed. No Chaos modifiers are applied to any card, so nothing gains an extra ability.
Card poolStill restricted to the Chaos Phase 3 pool. This is not a normal ladder card pool.
Card levelsEvery card is set to Level 11, the same as regular Chaos Mode.
How it playsLike a standard 1v1 match, just with a smaller card pool and level-capped cards.
Is it a bug?No. It appeared for every player at once and has its own countdown timer in the mode list.
How longRoughly two days in total. The countdown had under 16 hours left at 2:00 AM on July 27, 2026, so it ends that day.

One consequence worth calling out: Suspicious Bush was removed from the Phase 3 pool and is still unavailable during Signal Lost, even though it appears in a lot of Chaos deck lists that were recorded earlier in the phase. If a list you find will not build, that card is usually the reason.

Best Decks for Chaos Signal Lost

How this list was built, and what it is worth

Our older Chaos data came from modifier-enabled battles, which is the wrong sample for a state where modifiers are switched off. So we re-crawled it: 1v1 battles from the last 7 days, restricted to the Phase 3 card pool, no Evolutions. Every deck below is one you can actually build in Signal Lost right now. The honest caveat is sample size. Signal Lost is about two days old, so these decks sit between 44 and 448 battles each, 2,488 across the whole list, against the millions behind our ladder pages. Read the order as directional, not settled.

Decks are ranked by the Wilson score lower bound of their win rate rather than raw win rate, so a 3-battle 100% deck never outranks one with hundreds of games behind it. Here are the current top five out of 30.

Signal Lost rewards standard 1v1 fundamentals: a win condition, a reliable small spell, air coverage and a solid defensive core. Because everything is Level 11, the usual card level advantage is gone, so matchups play out closer to their theoretical value than they do on ladder. Two things follow from the pool that are worth knowing before you build your own list.

For contrast, these were the most-played cards across our modifier-enabled Chaos battles, with the share of battles each appeared in. It is a useful read on what the mode rewarded when modifiers were live, and a reminder of how much Signal Lost changes: several of these are not in the pool-legal decks above at all.

What Is Chaos Mode, and When Does It Return?

C.H.A.O.S. Mode is a limited-time 1v1 mode built on three rules: a restricted card pool instead of your own collection, every card set to Level 11 so card levels stop mattering, and modifiers that attach to specific cards and change what they do. Modifiers come in common, rare and epic tiers, and the epic versions are usually swingy enough to decide a match on their own.

The mode runs in phases, and the card pool changes between them, which is why a deck that worked in an earlier phase can be unbuildable later. Phase 3 is the pool currently in force, including during Signal Lost. Chaos also carries a set of secret badges with unlock conditions Supercell never documented, and we have a full guide to the secret badges in Chaos Mode covering how each one unlocks.

As for when normal Chaos returns, the in-game timer is the only reliable source. Signal Lost ran for roughly two days and ends on July 27, 2026, at which point Chaos is expected back in its usual modifier-enabled form. Separately, the next season starts on August 3 alongside the August 2026 balance changes, which matter here too, since several cards in the Chaos pool are on that list.

While Chaos is in this state, the fastest way to prepare is the Chaos deck page for pool-legal lists and card win rates for which of those cards are actually performing.

Signal Lost is temporary and this page will be updated when Chaos changes state again. For pool-legal lists see best Chaos Mode decks, for the badges see the Chaos secret badge guide, and for everything changing on August 3 read the August 2026 balance changes or browse all update coverage.
