Clash Royale Chest Simulator: How It Works

The RoyaleTracker Chest Simulator recreates the Mystery Chest experience from Clash Royale in your browser: the same 5-tap mechanic, the same rarity ladder, and odds based on real drop distributions. Open as many chests as you want without spending gems, waiting on timers, or touching your real account.

The 5-Tap Mechanic

Every chest starts at Common, and you get exactly 5 taps. Your first 4 taps each carry a chance to upgrade the chest one rarity tier: Common to Rare, Rare to Epic, Epic to Legendary, and Legendary to Champion. The 5th tap always opens the chest at whatever rarity it reached. The tension is the same as in the game: the higher the chest climbs before that final tap, the better the reward pool, with more gold, rarer cards, and a chance at Evolution Shards or a full Evolution at the top tiers.

The Odds, Based on Real Drop Data

The simulator's upgrade chances follow real 1-Star Chest drop distributions. By the time you make your final tap, the chest lands on each rarity at approximately these rates:

Notice that Rare, not Common, is the most likely outcome. Most chests upgrade at least once across four tap attempts, which matches how the mechanic feels in the game: landing a Legendary or better is the rare thrill, roughly 1 chest in 25.

The simulator tracks everything you earn. After just 7 chests this run had already pulled an Inferno Dragon, alongside Common, Rare and Epic cards and 800 gold.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the simulator affect my real account?

No. It never connects to your Clash Royale account and has no effect on your in-game chests, cards, gold or progress. It is for fun and for learning the odds.

Are the odds the same as the real game?

The simulator uses upgrade chances modeled on real 1-Star Chest drop distributions, so the long-run results you see match what the mechanic produces in the game. Supercell can adjust drop rates in updates, and we update the simulator when that happens.

Can I open unlimited chests?
