By the RoyaleTracker Team@RoyaleTrackerGGUpdated July 28, 2026
The Clash Royale TV Royale August 2026 broadcast has aired and the new season starts on Monday, August 3, 2026. Three cards were announced: Hero Berserker, which is free from Ken's Chaos Draft League, Hero Valkyrie, which comes with Pass Royale, and Evo Elite Barbarians, free from the new Ken's Shop. Alongside them, Chaos stops being a single event and becomes a whole draft ecosystem, led by Ken's Chaos Draft League running August 3 to 17 and a Chaos Mega Draft global tournament, with four more Chaos variants announced behind them. Here is everything confirmed, how to unlock each card, and what the draft formats actually change.
Nothing here is live yet
Every card and mode on this page is pre-release, announced in the TV Royale broadcast ahead of the August 3 season start. The abilities below are what Supercell described, not measured behaviour, and no stats, levels or ability durations were given. Anything we say about how a card is likely to play is labelled as a projection. We will replace those projections with real win rates and usage on our card data pages once the season is live and battles start landing.
Two Heroes and one Evolution were announced. The split matters more than usual this season: two of the three are free, and only Hero Valkyrie sits behind Pass Royale. Full stats and deck data for each card will live on its own page as soon as it is playable.

How to get it: Earned from Ken's Chaos Draft League
Its announced ability puts it into a full Berserk state, shown in-game as a Gold Berserker, with a spirit animal appearing alongside it. Hit speed increases for the duration, and while the ability is active it cannot drop below 1 hitpoint, so it does not die during the window.
Projection: On paper this is the most unusual of the three. Cards that survive lethal damage change trades rather than just winning them, so the value hangs entirely on the ability duration and the activation cost, neither of which was given in the broadcast. Treat any read on where it lands as a projection until it is live and we have real battle data.

How to get it: Pass Royale
Her announced ability gives her a speed boost and sends her spinning from troop to troop, dealing area damage as she goes. Unlike Hero Berserker she can be damaged and killed mid-spin. When no targets are left, she keeps spinning toward the towers instead of stopping.
Projection: Once live, the target-to-target spin reads as an offensive finisher more than a defensive reset, since it converts a cleared push into tower damage on its own rather than ending when the defence ends. The counterplay looks like it is simply killing her during the spin, which the base card has never had to worry about mid-ability.

How to get it: Ken's Shop
The announced Evolution throws rage-tipped javelins at both troops and towers, carving a rage trail across the arena, and then charges through that trail.
Projection: Self-generated rage on a 6 elixir card is the part to watch once it is live. Elite Barbarians have always been a raw-tempo punish card, and rage is the effect they historically had to pair with a second card to get. Whether that is strong depends on how long the trail lasts and how much of the arena it covers, which the announcement did not specify.
This is the bigger half of the announcement, and the part most coverage is skipping past. Chaos has run as one rotating event since its first season. From August 3 it becomes a family of formats built on drafting, with the League as the ranked centrepiece and everything else hanging off it.
In Ken's Chaos Draft League you draft 4 cards and your opponent automatically gets the other 4. Every card you pass on is a card you will face. Once the draft is done, both players pick modifiers for the match, which is the mechanic Chaos already runs on. That combination is what makes it different from a normal draft event: the deck is a negotiation, and the rules on top of it are chosen after you know what you are holding.
The League is ranked and runs for two weeks, August 3 to 17, and its reward track is the free source of Hero Berserker. Chaos Mega Draft handles the other extreme: instead of a 4 card split it is a turn-based draft for the whole deck, with modifiers picked afterwards, and it runs as a global tournament hosted by Ken.
The headline mode. You draft 4 cards and your opponent gets the other 4, then both players pick modifiers each match. It is ranked, runs for two weeks, and its reward track is where the free Hero Berserker comes from.
A turn-based draft for the full deck rather than a 4 card split, with modifiers picked afterwards. It runs as a global tournament hosted by Ken.
A Chaos take on the Triple Draft format, announced as coming but not dated.
Chaos restricted to Epic cards, announced as coming but not dated.
Sudden Death rules combined with Chaos modifiers, announced as coming but not dated.
Chaos played with no elixir constraint, announced as coming but not dated.
Three smaller announcements change where Chaos can be played at all, which is arguably a bigger shift than any single format.
Custom Chaos Draft tournaments
Run a Chaos Draft tournament for your clanmates rather than waiting for the rotation.
Chaos in Friendly Battles
Chaos rules become available in Friendlies, so it can be practised on demand.
Chaos in casual modes
Chaos spreads into the casual queues instead of being locked to one event slot.
Projection: drafting and modifiers pull in opposite directions, and that is the interesting part. A draft narrows what you can build while modifiers widen what any given card can do, so deck consistency should matter less than knowing which cards get scary under which modifier. Once live, the practical prep is knowing the current Chaos card pool cold, and our Chaos deck data tracks exactly that from real battles.

Two of the three new cards cost nothing, which is not how most seasons have gone. Here is the full free-to-play path and the single card it does not cover.
Hero Berserker
FreePlay Ken's Chaos Draft League between August 3 and 17 and climb its ranked reward track.
Evo Elite Barbarians
FreeAvailable from Ken's Shop, the new seasonal shop introduced with this season.
Hero Valkyrie
Pass RoyaleThe only one of the three behind a purchase. It comes with Pass Royale rather than a reward track.
The one thing worth planning around: Hero Berserker is tied to a ranked track inside a mode that only runs for two weeks. Unlike a shop item or a pass reward, it has a hard deadline of August 17, and the League is a draft format, so the usual advice about bringing your best meta deck does not apply. Ken's Shop and Pass Royale both run the length of the season.
For the past several days Chaos ran in a stripped state with every modifier switched off and the card pool locked, and the in-game messaging around Ken went quiet. That was the setup, not a bug. The TV Royale announcement is the payoff: Ken comes back attached to a ranked draft league, a global tournament, his own shop and a free Hero card.
We covered the blackout while it was happening in our Chaos Signal Lost guide, which tracked what actually changed in the mode rather than the story around it, and the hidden badges in the Chaos secret badges guide. Both stay useful going into August 3, because the modifier pool is what the new Draft League sits on top of.
Everything below is projection. No card in this announcement is playable yet, and none of the numbers that would settle these questions were shared.
The clearest signal is how much weight Supercell is putting behind drafting. Six Chaos formats, custom tournaments, Friendly Battles and the casual queues is not an event rotation, it is a second way to play the game that does not care about your collection. That is also the honest reason to pay attention to it as a free-to-play player: a draft format flattens the level and Evolution advantage that decides most ladder matches.
The other thing to keep in view is that this lands the same week as the finalised Season 86 balance list. Around 40 cards are on that work-in-progress list, including the Spirit nerf the community is voting on, and those changes hit the standard ladder meta far harder than three new cards will. If you are deciding what to play on August 3, read the August 2026 balance changes breakdown alongside this.
Once the season goes live we will have real ladder data within days. Our meta decks hub, card usage and win rates and Chaos deck lists all update daily from live battles, which is the fastest way to see which of these announcements actually mattered.
This article covers the TV Royale announcement only. Abilities are as described by Supercell and nothing is playable until August 3, so we will update this page with confirmed stats and real deck data once the season is live. Check all update coverage for every past and future season, or read the August 2026 balance changes for the card changes landing the same day.
